Polaris Focus is an attentional design tool, a focus companion that helps you work with presence rather than against the clock. Instead of rigid timers, it uses dissolving asteroids to guide your sessions, reducing time anxiety.

Choose an asteroid size. Each size corresponds to an approximate, randomized range of time. For example, smaller asteroids may run about 10 to 20 minutes, medium about 40 to 50, and larger ones up to about 125 minutes. As you focus, the asteroid gradually dissolves, giving you a visual sense of progress without countdowns or alarms.

Sessions are defined by asteroid size: XS, S, M, L, XL, and Omega. Each has a time range rather than an exact duration so you stay present instead of clock watching.

Download the app, sign in, and choose a plan. You will get a 3 day free trial to begin.

Numbers create pressure. Polaris replaces them with symbolic time, helping you escape minute counting and lean into depth and presence.

Each asteroid falls within a randomized range. This gentle unpredictability prevents fixation on exact timing.

The asteroid ends with an animated cosmic burst glow that lights up the screen in a transition. If sound is enabled, you will hear a gentle cue, and there is optional haptic feedback for accessibility. The screen then shows a Session Complete message. Press Continue to return to the Home screen.

Most focus apps optimize for productivity with timers, gamification, or streaks. Polaris takes the opposite approach: it removes urgency, shifts your relationship with time, and creates space for calm, intentional focus.

Polaris was designed with attentional challenges in mind. Rigid timers and alarms can increase anxiety. Polaris uses dissolving asteroids as gentle anchors. Many neurodivergent users find this lowers pressure and makes focus more sustainable. While not a medical tool, it supports diverse focus styles.

No. The system is designed around ranges rather than fixed durations. Adjusting to exact times would go against the design philosophy.

In the current version, cues are minimal by design. Visual, sound, and haptic options are intended to support accessibility and keep attention free from relying on the screen.

No. Polaris does not block or silence apps. It helps you cultivate focus by changing your relationship with time, not by enforcing restrictions. You remain in charge of your environment.

Not at launch. Polaris is intentionally minimal. Light integrations may come in the future, but only if they preserve simplicity and presence.

You can end a session at any point, but there is no pause feature. To stop, press the session label at the top of the screen and select Stop. If you stop, you can always begin a new session when ready.

Yes. Each asteroid dissolves at its own pace, with slight variations built in to feel organic. If it seems abnormal, reach out to support@kaamoslabs.com.

Each asteroid has a randomized duration within its range. Sometimes it may feel shorter or longer than anticipated. This reflects how our perception of time shifts with focus. It is part of the experience, not an error.

You get a free 3 day trial. After that, Polaris is available through a single tier subscription with no hidden upsells.
